    She adresses him as James, that's already way too familiar and condescending. Then she makes it clear that she's in her mind too good to waste time on him. What an insufferable, arrogant biotch

    highly inappropriate and unprofessional HR response whatever the provocation. And another example of ageism. What the hell are his teeth to do with anything? If his teeth bother her, what chance of someone with facial disfigurement being hired? I'd be pretty ashamed if I were her.

    Clearly a double-sided issue this one. It does remind me of a situation in the 90s where I worked for a firm that had no vacancies but was frequently approached by undergraduates looking for somewhere to do their pupilage. Recognising that we couldn't offer any jobs, we put together a two-page note of tips and hints to help them improve their chances of finding something based on the, often poor quality, speculative applications that we received. We spent a fair bit of time on these and I still believe that they were very constructive and useful - to anyone who was prepared to read them and absorb the material. Sadly, after sending them out three or four times, we had one reply that was SO abusive and threatening, that we decided to stop using them and just to send a 'no thank you, good luck' reply.

    Interviewing candidates can be an interesting experience. It is a skill that needs to be finely crafted. From the candidates POV it is important to get feedback. This should be constructive and hopefully useful. We have all I am sure had bad intervuews. This can be for any number of reasons but reacting like this is highly unprofessional and, as seen here, only creates a lot of bad press. She had not read the CV, claimed to have little time but had plenty to say. Take a step back from a bad situation and think twice before reacting and hitting the 'send' button!

    Haha ... how many of us have actually wanted to give this type of feedback after a particularly bad interview? I know I have! :)
