The Chancellor of the Exchequer is expected to present a crackdown on personal services companies (PSC) in his budget today. However, the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) warns that the move poses a “serious threat to the professional flexible recruitment sector”.
The move is aimed to plug a £18million “black hole” in the economy. A Government source told The Telegraph: “Personal service companies can be legitimate, but we estimate that 90% of people who should comply with the rules, don't.
