Disability hiring is still a major factor effecting numerous jobseekers, despite many recruiters and employers’ pledges to abolish any discrimination towards those candidates with a disability.
According to figures from the House of Commons library, 7.6million people of working age (16-64) reported they had a disability between January to March 2019. However, of these it is estimated that 3.9million were employed, suggesting there is still an issue of discrimination when it comes to disability hiring.
