New research has revealed that staff turnover in the UK is in dramatic flux; two-fifths of UK businesses are in a constant battle with staff leaving, whilst 47% now expect to lose over a 10th of their workforce in any given year, according to a recently-released study by Oleeo.
And the issue seems to start with the recruiter; 14% of HR practitioners expect new hires to leave within just 30 days of hiring, whilst 39% are accustomed to new employees leaving within six months of accepting a role. This adds further pressure to the almost three quarters (72.8%) of employers who are having a difficult time finding skilled candidates, according to data compiled by Jobbatical.
