It’s undeniable that flexible working is the future of the workplace; up to 54% of professionals already operate on a purely flexible calendar according to the ONS. This is a vast increase on the 9.5% of people who had the option in 1999.
This often means that workers can fit their work around their life and family, work from home, adjust their working hours to fit around school runs or childcare and even simply to ensure that they make the most out of their time off. Yet, despite the huge developments happening in remote working, workers are still looking for greater autonomy in their own schedules. A massive 68% of professionals would like to work flexibly in a way that is not currently available to them, according to the 2019 Working Lives Report.
