While many organisations have pledged their commitment to promote better gender equality in business, research has suggested that women still don’t have the same advantages as their male counterparts.
For example, last year the BBC was slammed after the broadcasting company shared the details of salaries of those workers earning more than £150,000 a year. It revealed staggering differences between gender pay as broadcaster Gary Lineker was taking home £1.75million closely followed by Chris Evans who made £1,25million before his departure from the company in December 2018.
