Women share the things they wish their male bosses would STOP doing

Despite decades of investment in celebrating equality of all kinds within the workplace, we still live in a time in which there is a drastic disparity between the experiences of women and men at work.

Alongside a widely-publicised push for gender pay transparency (a story which you can read more about in EG’s news today), the Equality Act of 2010 protects gender as a characteristic in the working world, meaning that it is largely illegal to treat someone differently due to their gender. And, at least for the time being, the UK is still a member of the EU, meaning that workplaces are also subject to Article 141(1) of the Treaty of the European Community which states: "Each Member State shall ensure that the principle of equal pay for male and female workers for equal work or work of equal value is applied."
