The jobs market and recruitment has witnessed a dramatic shift over the last few months due to the pandemic. Employment has taken a dramatic hit recently – with Government data stating that 700,000 jobs have been lost. However, whilst redundancies and job losses are certainly true for many businesses, some are still looking to hire new talent to bolster their workforce, with some firms even turning to existing talent for these hires. In fact, new data from LinkedIn has highlighted just this. It discovered that UK companies are looking inwards to find talent for roles since the crisis began, so much so that internal hiring went up by 20% between the months of April and August 2020, compared to the same period last year. This trend is also being echoed across countries, including Germany...
