Gender diversity in politics is something that has come on leaps and bounds in that past century – however, it’s still not enough to encourage young women into Government.
That’s according to Shadow Home Secretary, Dianne Abbott, who recently spoke out on the state of diversity in politics, referencing her own experiences. Writing for The Guardian, Abbott said: “Suppose that someone had told me back then that 30 years on I would be receiving stuff like this: ‘Pathetic useless fat black piece of s*** Abbott. Just a piece of pig s*** pond slime who should be f****** hung (if they could find a tree big enough to take the fat b**** weight)’.
