Heidrick & Struggles (HSII) CEO Tracy Wolstencroft will take a medical leave of absence.
In Wolstencroft’s absence, the Executive Search business has appointed Krishnan Rajagopalan as acting CEO. HSII focus on providing integrated leadership solutions, as firms look for new leaders. Rajagopalan has previously been recognised by Business Week as one of the “100 Most Influential Executive Recruiters in the World.” Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Krishnan was a Vice President and Partner with A.T. Kearney Consulting, where he focused on strategy and procurement.
Richard Beattie, Chairman of the Board of Heidrick & Struggles, said: “Tracy is doing the right thing. It is in the best interests of both Tracy and the company for him to take the time needed to focus on his health. We wish him a speedy recovery, and we look forward to his return. We are fortunate that Krishnan is well suited to take on the role of acting CEO, and the full board and management team have complete confidence in his ability to lead Heidrick & Struggles."
