Twitter end secret employee forum posts after HR nightmare

It has recently come to light that last year, Twitter, an employer of circa 3,500 people, forced employees to reveal their identities when posting concerns on an online employee forum.

The decision came after an employee anonymously questioned Twitter’s support for LGBTQ causes. The forum had also been used to question CEO Jack Dorsey’s leadership and layoffs at the firm – Gizmodo reports.

    Enshrined in democractic thinking is the principle that the 'accused' (whoever they are has the right to know who the accuser is. Anonymous platforms are not consistent with this principle. Anonymous criticisms on an employee platform suggest either that a company is in the dark ages or that individuals have no courage.
