    Resumes/CVs have evolved in-line with job ads - for sure, CVs are littered with cliched and inflated statements, exaggerating achievements and responsibilities and the like. But, take a look at the vast majority of jobs ads - they are equally guilty of cliched statements, overstatements of what the job is like, earnings, excitement, yah-de-yah. You get what you sow... if you really want honest resumes/CVs, the first step is honest job ads.
