FTSE 100 banking firms to improve Board diversity

FTSE 100 banking and finance firms are set to increase their gender and ethnic diversity at Board-level, according to a new study from Green Park.

The Board-level pipeline now includes 15% of professionals with a non-white background compared with five per cent of leadership pipelines for FTSE 100 companies overall and 6.5% in 2014. This is also offset by an improvement in the proportion of banking and finance board members with a non-white ethnic background from 8.3% (31 people) in 2014 to 8.8% (33 people) in this year’s report.
