2/3 of women business owners not taken seriously

Two thirds of female business owners say they are not taken seriously by investors and banks when trying to secure funding, according to a survey by the Telegraph.

In the poll of 750 female founders, two thirds (65%) said they had been unfairly treated by financial services when trying to raise funding. Nearly seven in ten (67%) who had met with male investors said they would have been treated differently if the investor had been a woman.
