Software Sales & Business Development Manager

£30k plus commission

Executive Grapevine provides running commentary to HR, Recruitment professionals and business leaders and its inception was in 1979. We report the latest HR, Recruitment and business news delivering insights and thought leadership to the relevant industries. With the most engaged audiences, we are able to supply marketing solutions to suppliers wishing to get in front of potential clients, this includes display advertising, content marketing and lead generation solutions.

Since COVID, we have developed an online platform (Onvine) to run virtual events, training, meetings which is now ready to launch to our existing database of readers, this role will concentrate in selling into this side of our business

Please Note: This is a remote based role, however you will be expected to attend quarterly company days at the office in Welwyn Garden City. In order to look after our employees, the company policy states that you must have received both Covid Vaccinations to attend the company events. Please do not apply for this role if you have not received or do not intend to receive the vaccinations.

The Day-to-Day:

Have a strong "hunter" mentality with the ability to prospect, qualify and close deals

Show impeccable technical and business acumen and have good knowledge of sales processes and techniques

Possess negotiation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills and a personable and professional nature

Have a genuine interest in technology and have experience in software sales

Dealing with a customer or prospect, by phone or online and will present a pre-determined value proposition.

Undertaking a customer needs analysis for simple solutions by linking features and benefits to customer requirements

Developing customer relationships by establishing rapport and building trust and confidence in your own and your company’s capabilities through demonstration of product knowledge.

Conducting desk-based and field-based sales. The entire sales process may be completed during a single customer 'conversation’ or over several meetings.

Motivation - The majority of the clients you will work with will be HR professionals and readers already engaged with our content. As this is a new product offering, you will be required to prospect and create long-term relationships. Onvine solutions is a new platform in the market and therefore this role will require you to undertake new business
