Open Position

Executive Grapevine International

Features Editor (Part-Time)

£28,000 to £35,000 FTE pro rata

UK Based Applicants only

Please note, this is a part-time role of 17.5 hours per week.

Who we are

We spend the majority of our waking hours at work. Making sure those hours are as happy, healthy, and productive as possible is imperative – and this is where HR Grapevine comes in. We’re the go-to source for impeccable journalism within the HR sector, and we produce a huge range of amazing content to cover their needs.

What do we want from you?

We’re looking for someone who can pitch, plan, and write detailed long-form pieces of content including features, interviews, case studies, reports, and white papers; and to host and moderate virtual and in-person multimedia events including HR Grapevine podcast episodes, webinars, roundtables, meet-ups, and panels. This will also include bringing a strong contact book of HR professionals and a keen interest in networking with industry leaders.

This role will suit someone with a strong level of autonomy, who enjoys writing in-depth articles and hosting in-person events in equal measure. Given the reduced working schedule, this would suit an individual looking for steady work to become deeply ingrained in a community of senior HR leaders while keeping the flexibility to complete other projects or keep up with work-life balance demands.

Responsibilities

  • Pitch, plan, and write detailed and compelling pieces of long-form content for our UK audience of senior HR leaders
  • Host a weekly episode of the HR Grapevine UK podcast
  • Host or moderate multimedia forums each month as a part of our webinar and in-person event programmes including roundtables, workshops, and panel discussions
  • Source speakers for our busy events calendar
  • Occasionally attend events hosted by HR Grapevine’s top corporate partners
  • Bring and build a robust network of contacts (HR and business leaders) that you can rely on for quotes, comments, and event participation

Essential skills

  • An impressive history working in B2B journalism
  • Experience with multimedia such as video or podcast content
  • Experience hosting and presenting panels and other live or virtual events
  • Extensive contact book of HR professionals and/or experience networking and interviewing high-profile business leaders
  • Strong writing skills, including impeccable grammar
  • Adaptability to learn how to use HR Grapevine’s in-house, market-leading technology including a content management system

Other skills/experience that are an advantage

  • Knowledge of content management systems and Salesforce
  • Knowledge of B2B media and specifically of producing content for the HR industry
