Corporate Sustainability Policy
Executive Grapevine International Ltd is committed to reducing our environmental impact and embedding sustainable practices across our business. We recognise that meaningful progress requires clear priorities, measurable actions, transparent reporting, and continuous improvement.
This Corporate Responsibility Statement sets out our sustainability commitments and the practical steps we are taking to reduce our environmental footprint over time.
This policy is informed by recognised global frameworks, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, where proportionate to the size and nature of our business.
1. Our Sustainability Pledge
Carbon Neutrality Goal
We aim to reduce our carbon footprint year-on-year and work towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2030, subject to accurate measurement, credible reduction pathways, and the availability of high-quality offsetting where required.
Continuous Improvement
We aim for incremental, measurable improvements each year so that in five and ten years’ time we can clearly demonstrate the positive impact of our efforts.
Stakeholder Engagement
We will work closely with our employees, clients, suppliers and communities to embed sustainability throughout our value chain.
2. Key Initiatives
2.1 Carbon Footprint
Measurement
Conduct our first comprehensive carbon footprint assessment during 2025, establishing a baseline against which future reductions can be measured, covering:
- Office energy (lighting & heating)
- Home-working emissions (heating, lighting, internet)
- IT infrastructure (servers & networks)
Reduction & Offset
Implement proportionate reduction plans against these metrics and, where appropriate, invest in credible, high-quality offset projects to address residual emissions that cannot be eliminated in the short term.
2.2 Print & Paper Usage
- Ceased all commercial print runs (magazines, directories, guides, supplements) in 2023.
- Eliminated office printers and paper contracts—replaced by a fully digital booking and document management system.
- Saved an estimated 50 tonnes of paper annually and prevented associated transport emissions.
2.3 Digital Engagement
- Transitioned entirely to digital content delivery across our websites and social channels.
- Launched a bespoke virtual events platform, reducing event-related carbon emissions by hundreds of kilograms per client.
2.4 Merchandise & Events
- Replaced paper delegate lists with a purpose-built mobile app.
- Reduced giveaway items by 60% and now source only sustainably produced or recycled promotional products.
2.5 Transport & Travel
- Maintained a hybrid-first working model since May 2020; 95% of client meetings remain virtual.
- Limit in-office days to ten per employee per year—cutting commuting emissions by over 80%.
2.6 Office Footprint
- Downsized office services, including the removal of coffee machines, stationery orders, shredding services, and a reduction in water coolers.
- Power-off policy: screens off when not in use; lights and air-conditioning on one day per week only.
- Relocated to a smaller premises in June 2025, further reducing energy demand.
2.7 Supply Chain Sustainability
- From 2025, we will engage with key suppliers to understand and encourage their sustainability practices and priorities.
- Where appropriate, we will introduce proportionate supplier reviews and collaborative improvement initiatives over time.
3. Governance & Reporting
- Overall responsibility for sustainability sits with the Founders, supported by the senior leadership team. Sustainability considerations are integrated into business planning, operational decisions, and supplier relationships where relevant.
- This statement will be reviewed annually and updated to reflect material changes in our operations, regulatory expectations, or sustainability priorities.
- Progress updates will be shared internally and, where appropriate, externally.
4. Looking Ahead
Our longer-term ambition is to move beyond carbon neutrality and work towards a carbon-negative position by 2035, subject to credible measurement and delivery pathways.
